Capacity Building Audit

This project aims to compile a database of agencies/consultants offering capacity building services in the area of HIV/AIDS in India. We define capacity-building to include services such as training, technical assistance, needs-assessment, monitoring/evaluation, start-up and management to agencies providing HIV/AIDS services in India. Once this database is completed and disseminated, it will benefit service-provider organizations carrying out prevention, care, support, treatment, and policy work.

The purpose of this project is to:

• Analyze the HIV/AIDS related capacity building potential in India and its adequacy with regard to current capacity gaps of various HIV/AIDS service providers in India
• Share a continually updated list of resource persons and agencies offering capacity-building services with government and civil-society working on HIV/AIDS in India

Commencement of the Project: January 2006

Outcome:
