Overcoming HIV/AIDS Stigma and Discrimination: Basic information about HIV/AIDS, myths and misconceptions that lead to stigma, care and support of PLHIV, and presentation by woman living with HIV/AIDS on stigma and discrimination towards PLHIV
Community Mobilization: Importance of prevention, counseling and testing, and treatment, roles of SHGs in prevention, counseling & testing and treatment, places where counseling, testing, and treatment are provided in Karur, and referrals and linkages

Success Stories:
One of the CBOs that participated in our proposal writing workshop further sought our technical assistance in developing a renewal proposal for MSM interventions in Pondicherry that they were submitting to APAC-VHS, a USAID partner. Their proposal has since been renewed.
Based on the year 1 experiences of SAATHII-SAMARTH, the Project Director of Tamil Nadu AIDS Control Society requested SAATHII to develop and conduct a three- day workshop for positive networks and community based organizations on proposing projects for running community care centers and targeted interventions. |
