Library days and timing:

Monday through Friday from 12 to 5 pm.

The library is only for reference and not for lending.

Focus subjects:

• Primary (broad topics) - Sexuality, gender, human rights, sexual health, reproductive and child health, adolescent health and development, substance use, HIV/AIDS, communication, organizational development and management, research, social work
• Secondary (broad topics) - Environment, arts, computers, economics

Nature of services offered:

• Free provision of material for reference for awareness generation, research, advocacy, and organizational / programme planning. Internet facility also available
• Limited distribution of priced or free material prepared by SAATHII and other agencies, including West Bengal State AIDS Prevention & Control Society, Calcutta; Anjali, Calcutta; Child In Need Institute, Pailan; I-TECH, Chennai; SPARSHA, Calcutta; and UNAIDS India, New Delhi
• Limited facilities for photocopying, print-outs, soft copies, out-station dispatch of material – subject to copyright restrictions and payment of costs involved in copying / printing / out-station dispatch (free service only in exceptional situations)

All items referred to, copied, purchased or received free by a user (in Calcutta or outside) will be entered in the library log book against the user’s name.

Users will have to compensate (in terms of cash or kind) for any damage caused to any material stocked in the library.
