Project Sahay

Project Sahay, initiated in July 2017, is a two-year initiative to increase offline and online reach with HIV prevention and treatment to at-risk populations not currently covered by HIV targeted interventions in India. The project is being implemented in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Telangana, Odisha, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Through this project, 169 HIV+ cases (0.50%) were detected based on screening of 33586 individuals in 550+ community based screening camps in 30 districts across the 6 states mentioned above, as of Oct 2017.
The Sahay website ( ) was launched in June 2018, and is one of SAATHII's Technology Based Interventions (TBI) to reach hard-to-reach high-risk and at-risk groups (HRG/ARG) with health and rights related services.
Sahay is being implemented in partnership with the National AIDS Organization (NACO) and support from the M.A.C. AIDS Fund.
